Sawtech Setworks
Sawtech, A State of the
Art Control System, was designed by a team of engineers with over 50 years
experience and is adaptable to hydraulic and electric carriages (consult factory
for air carriages). This 3rd and 4th generation team delivers what the industry
has long awaited. Sawtech has many features that takes a good sawyer and makes
him better.

One of Sawtech's important features is a touch screen. The touch screen comes
in black and white and allows the sawyer to control a number of functions, such
as:
| Sets:
Programmable from the sawcab, meaning that the sawyer can enter his
desired thickness and stand boards.

| Auto-adjust:
Computer compensates for kerf (as instructed in the set up), coast
(self monitored), and ramping (as instructed in the set up).

| Call Set:
Great for blocking or ties. The sets become knee positions, "calling" the
knees to a pre-programmed position.
|
| Stack Positions:
The ability to cut a stack of boards down to a certain standard or cant.
Sawtech is able to put the shim in the slab or next to the cant, and also
has a toggle that instructs the computer to hold the accuracy to the boards
or to the cant.

| Memories:
A panel on the screen stores the knee location. This allows your sawyer to
return to that location when he has rolled his log over the third or forth
face.

| Special Jog and
Recede: Best
described as the ability of the setworks to move the knees at 1/2 speed for
the first inch of motion when jog or recede is activated. Sawyers find this
very convenient for achieving that small motion. |
